I'm getting fingerprinted tomorrow...

So I recently was offered a position with the State of Oregon in the records section doing data entry, and I guess all employees have to be fingerprinted before they can start work. So I figured would make my nails look nice. :]

I used one coat of NYX nail polish in Wild, topped by one thick coat of China Glaze in C-C-Courage.

Dollar Tree Haul

If you know me you know I LOVE the Dollar Tree. I have gotten tons of stuff over the years from that store. They always have new brand name makeup, super stylish earrings, not to mention tons of cute things for your hair, and it's only $1! So I went there Wednesday after a long hiatus and picked up some stuffs.

Maybelline Dream Mousse Bronzer in 25 Medium
I thought was a Dream Mousse Blush, because that's what the packaging said and of course I grabbed one with only a quick glance at what the actual product said! Anyways, it's a kind of orange-y brown, and the texture is so creamy and soft and it blends like a dream (Dream Mousse!) the only thing is that it is very shimmery. You can't really tell by the pictures, but it is chock full with orange glitters, which are very unflattering on the face (at least on mine).

L'oreal On-The-Loose Shimmering Powder in Gunsmoke
This is a really pretty silver with small rainbow glitters. It is really shimmery, but it IS a loose eyeshadow. It is nice, but if you blend it out too much it loses its color completely and you end up with an eyelid full of glitters.

Maybelline New York Cool Effects Eye in Polar Plum
You don't want to know how hard I drew with that pencil to get that color! Let me just say it was a lot harder than you would draw on your eye with. Also, the pencil was originally about an inch longer, but the pencil tip broke every time I tried to sharpen it. Maybe it's just old, but if this is the general quality of this brand of pencil than forget about it.

L'oreal Paris Colour Fresco Refreshing Creme Eye Liner in Melon
I got this one hoping it would look like Stila Eye Kajal in Topaz
, the pencil everyone on Youtube uses on their waterlines. In the end though, it is very hard to get a good color from this pencil. I had to push a lot harder to get the swatch I did than you would want to push on your eye, especially your waterline. It is also shimmery, and when I tried to put it on my waterline the shimmers washed away into my lower lashes and tear duct. It looked a mess.

CoverGirl Professional Eye Enhances Eyeshadow in Opal Dust (the purple) and Spring Mist (the yellow)
I am not really a fan of CoverGirl's eyeshadows and this is why. They are chalky, overly shimmery, and have poor-to-no pigmentation. I mean, some are okay, I can't deny that. I have some good shadows from them, I'm not going to lie. I have some quads that are 10 years old that with one light swatch look like NYX or Urban Decay. Maybe CG changed their formula, because I haven't purchased one of their eyeshadows with good pigmentation in years. Look at the swatches above! Yes, there are swatches! The yellow color is on the left side of my hand, the purple one is to the right. I think these were discontinued, but even if these are a year old that isn't an excuse to have poor pigmentation. Like I said, I have 10 year old shadows with 100x more pigmentation to them. I mean the yellow is okay, I'll use it because it is really pretty , and gives an okay amount of color. On the other hand, the purple is really pretty useless. Is is way chalky and has almost no pigmentation. Oh well, they were in a package together for $1, so it's not a big deal.

Maybelline New York ShineSeduction Glossy Lipcolor in Mauve Dream
Now this is really pretty. It is a pink/purple gloss, not sticky, and super shiny. It does come off kind of sheer and doesn't last very long, but I like it. And it smells like Froot Loops!

And that concludes the makeup!

I also got two pencil cases that I'm going to use as makeup cases, a bunch of headbands, a bandanna, and one of those hair turbans I forgot to take a picture of.

And the earrings I got (the best part)!! They had these pounded metal triangles in a variety of colors and I got one of each. Also I didn't realize it at the store, but the pair in the center at the top and the pair on the bottom right are the same pair, it's just one is faded.

My nailpolish is in Strawberry Margarita by OPI. It's a hot pink but for some reason it looks orange in the photos. But thanks for reading! I know it was a long post lol! <3
